ABOUT ME

My name is Dave and my site's been around for about 5-7 years now. It so happens that I've collected way more Atari stuff over the years than I really use and so decided to start selling or giving them away.

I am a member of several Atari Mailing Lists around. I love my Atari and still use it mainly for music applications.

My setup is as follows

Though I call on some PC applications from time to time, Notator is still THE single most important piece of application in the heart of my studio!

With the newer technologies like the Mac and PC on the rise, which I have come to learn, I still refuse to give up my Atari in place of them. Compared to other programs I have seen and used on other platforms, I still can truly say that Notator as a sequencing engine is my number one choice!

The Atari with it's built in midi ports, is said to have the best midi timing of them all! Not to mention when using Unitor C or Unitor N boxes that connects to the cartridge port for use with Notator or Creator. These devices have built in midi input/output as well as SMPTE generation. The midi inputs on these boxes (I've been told), have even better timing!

I have worked with many applications on this computer from simple word processors to databases, CAD, desktop publishers, utilities, FAX, you name it. I've also had my share of hardware that I've used.

I am especially fascinated with the speed of such a relatively small powered computer that only runs at 16MHz using a Motorola 68000 chip and 4MB RAM!

I find this computer quite fascinating and will continue to support it as long as it continues to survive the test of time.

Through the use of the Atari and Notator, some of my materials have made it to vinyl, CD and even played on the radio airwaves, concert tours, special occasions, show cases, etc. I have also produced a countless number of groups and solo artists and provided other types of services to many individuals.

Throughout the years, I've been able to create music on this computer in any category without limitations!
